Dr. Kuo-Chiang Hsia

Kuo-Chiang received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Fu-Jen Catholic University in 1998, followed by a master’s degree from the Institute of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung University in 2000. He earned his Ph.D. in Cell Biology in 2009 from The Rockefeller University, where he was mentored by Dr. Günter Blobel. He subsequently conducted postdoctoral research at The Rockefeller University under the guidance of Dr. Tarun Kapoor. In 2012, Kuo-Chiang was awarded a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Scholar Award.

In 2015, Kuo-Chiang joined the Institute of Molecular Biology, Academia Sinica, as an Assistant Research Fellow and was promoted to Research Fellow in 2025. He is also an adjunct faculty member at National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung University and currently serves as deputy director of the Institute of Molecular Biology. He received the Academia Sinica Early-Career Investigator Research Achievement Award and the NSTC Outstanding Research Award in 2023.
